HPLC Method for Analysis of Alfuzosin on Primesep 200 by SIELC Technologies
High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) Method for Analysis of Alfuzosin
Alfuzosin is a medication used to treat the signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), which is an enlarged prostate gland. It doesn’t shrink the prostate but works by relaxing the muscles of the prostate and the bladder, which helps to relieve symptoms like difficulty in starting the flow of urine, weak stream, and the need to urinate often or urgently.
Alfuzosin can be retained, and analyzed on a Primesep 200 mixed-mode stationary phase column using an isocratic analytical method with a simple mobile phase of water, Acetonitrile (MeCN), and a ammonium format as a buffer. This analysis method can be detected using UV at 247 nm, an Evaporative Light Scattering Detector (ELSD), or any other evaporative detection method (CAD, ESI-MS)
