Cyralis CL is a new column from SIELC Technologies
Cyralis CL is a new column from SIELC Technologies designed for chiral chromatography. It consists of a polysaccharide selector, cellulose tris(3-chloro-4-methylphenylcarbamate), coated onto silica. It separates racemates by using the polysaccharide selector to induce subtle energetic differences between enantiomers and the selector as they flow through and interact with the stationary phase. The column can be used to separate chiral neutral compounds, acids, bases and chiral salts.
This coated column can be used in normal phase conditions of alkane/alcohol mixtures, polar organic mode (alcohol/MeCN mixtures) or reverse phase conditions. The column is sold in all standard column dimensions (50, 100, 150 and 250 mm) and particle sizes (3, 5 and 10 μm).
Benefits
The column is able to resolve not only enantiomeric pairs but complex stereoisomeric mixtures of molecules with multiple stereocenters
Expand capabilities – The polysaccharide selector is sensitive to temperature changes, enabling temperature tuning in chiral methods
Future-ready – The stationary phase tolerates relatively high additive percentages
