Ultrafast Chiral Screening

Cyralis™ Screening Kit

Ultrafast Chiral Screening.

Explore four polysaccharide stationary phases with 1.5 µm nonporous particles to identify promising chiral interactions faster.

Find Your Chiral Screening Hits Faster

Screening extensive libraries of new chiral compounds can take days with standard porous columns measuring 150 mm or longer. SIELC introduces 1.5 µm nonporous analogues of the Cyralis™ family, designed for ultrafast initial screening.

The goal is a rapid yes/no answer regarding interaction between an analyte and a chiral stationary phase (CSP). Screen an analyte across the four phases under a selected mobile-phase condition, then identify promising hits for further method development.

Cyralis™ Screening Kit

Why Nonporous Particles?

Nonporous particles have no internal pore surface. Analytes interact with the external surface without diffusing into and out of particle pores, reducing the contribution of intraparticle mass transfer to band broadening.

Resolution per Unit Time

The theoretical advantage is expressed as Rs/t: resolution per unit time. Nonporous particles are intended to improve this balance for rapid screening.

No Pore Diffusion

Eliminating diffusion within pores reduces a contribution to the mass-transfer term of the van Deemter equation.

The Capacity Trade-Off

The smaller available surface area reduces sample capacity. The intended application is initial chiral screening.

One Analyte. Four Phases. Identify the Hits.

Compare the analyte’s behavior across AM, CM, AL, and CL under the same selected mobile-phase condition.

1. Screen

Test the compound on each of the four nonporous Cyralis™ phases.

2. Compare

Review the chromatograms to identify phases showing promising chiral selectivity.

3. Follow Up

Use the screening hits to guide subsequent method development.

The chromatograms in the brochure illustrate this approach: one analyte screened against the Cyralis™ phases in a selected mobile phase, followed by identification of hits.
