HPLC Method for Isoprene on Newcrom R1 by SIELC Technologies
High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) Method for Analysis of Isoprene
Isoprene is a volatile organic compound with the molecular formula C5H8. It is most often found in plants and is released as protection from heat stress. It also helps with maintaining cell membrane stability. Isoprene emissions are also the reasons why Blue Ridge Mountains have a blue haze.
Isoprene can be retained and analyzed using the Newcrom R1 stationary phase column. The analysis utilizes a gradient method with a simple mobile phase consisting of water and acetonitrile (MeCN). Detection is performed using UV 222nm.
