HPLC Method for Citrulline on Primesep 100 by SIELC Technologies
High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) Method for Analysis of Citrulline.
Citrulline is an alpha-amino acid with the chemical formula C6H13N3O3. It is a key intermediate in the urea cycle. It can be derived from a variety of sources, such as arginine, ornithine, and asymmetric dimethylarginine. Commercially, it is used as a dietary supplemant as L-citrulline boots the production of nitric oxide, which helps with arterial function.
Citrulline can be retained and analyzed using the Primesep 100 stationary phase column. The analysis utilizes a gradient method with a simple mobile phase consisting of water and acetonitrile (MeCN) buffer. Detection is performed using UV.
