HPLC Method for Analysis of Nirmatrelvir and Ritonavir in Paxlovid Tablets on Primesep P column

HPLC Method for Nirmatrelvir, Ritonavir on Primesep P by SIELC Technologies

High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) Method for Analysis of Nirmatrelvir, Ritonavir.

Nirmatrelvir is an antiviral medication with the chemical formula C23H32F3N5O4. It is a part of a medical combination used to treat COVID-19. It works through inhibiting 3C-like protease. From November 2021, Nirmatrelvir has been allowed to be manufactured and sold in over 95 countries to ensure greater access to the global population.

Ritonavir is an antiretroviral medication with the chemical formula C37H48N6O5S2.  When used alone, it is used to treat HIV/AIDS. In combination with other drugs, especially potease inhibitors, it is used to treat Hepatitis C and COVID-19.

Nirmatrelvir, Ritonavir can be retained and analyzed using the Primesep P stationary phase column. The analysis utilizes a gradient method with a simple mobile phase consisting of water and acetonitrile (MeCN) with a perchloric acid buffer. Detection is performed using UV.
