HPLC Method for Analysis of Benztropine mesylate on Primesep SB Column

Benztropine mesylate

Benztropine is a medical drug used in treatment of patients with Parkinson’s disease. It works as an acetylcholine blocker decreasing muscle stiffness. Benztropine can be retained in HPLC on Primesep SB mixed-mode column by hydrophobic and anion-exchange properties. The isocratic method uses a mobile phase of acetonitrile (ACN) and water with sulfuric acid buffer and UV detection at 220nm.

Condition

Column Primesep SB, 4.6×150 mm, 5 µm, 100A
Mobile Phase MeCN/H2O – 25/75%
