HPLC Method for Hydroxychloroquine on Newcrom A by SIELC Technologies
High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) Method for Analysis of Hydroxychloroquine.
Hydroxychloroquine is a prescription medication with the chemical formula C18H26ClN3O. It is used to treat and prevent acute attacks of malaria in adults and children. It is not used in severe or complicated cases. Besides malaria, Hydroxychloroquine is also used to treat discoid lupus erythematosus (DLE), systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), and chronic rheumatoid arthritis. It is considered unsafe to take this medication alongside other medications.
Hydroxychloroquine can be retained and analyzed using the Newcrom A stationary phase column. The analysis utilizes an isocratic method with a simple mobile phase consisting of water and acetonitrile (MeCN) with a Ammonium Formate buffer. Detection is performed using UV.
