High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) Method for Analysis of Brilliant Green on Primesep 100 by SIELC Technologies.

Brilliant green, also known as zelyonka and zelenka, is a triarylmethane dye with the chemical formula C27H33N2.HO4S. A dilute alcoholic solution of Brilliant Green is used as a topical antiseptic. At lower solutions, it can also be used for mucous membranes and for infants. It is a visible light-activated photocatalyst in organic synthesis
Brilliant Green can be retained and analyzed on a Primesep 100 mixed-mode stationary phase column using an isocratic analytical method with a simple isocratic mobile phase of water, Acetonitrile (MeCN), and a sulfuric acid (H2SO4) buffer. This analysis method can be UV detected at 600 nm with high resolution and peak symmetry.
