HPLC Method for Pentosidine on Obelisc R by SIELC Technologies

High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) Method for Analysis of Pentosidine

Pentosidine is a advanced glycation end-product (AGE) with C17H26N6O4 • CF3COOH chemical formula.  Since it is a fluorescent biomarker, it is often used as an indicator  in studies of aging and chronic diseases including diabetes and uremia.

Pentosidine can be retained and analyzed using the Obelisc R stationary phase column. The analysis utilizes an isocratic method with a simple mobile phase consisting of water and acetonitrile (MeCN) with an ammonium acetate buffer. Detection is performed using UV.
