HPLC Determination of Famotidine in Tablets on Primesep 100 Column

HPLC Determination of Famotidine in Tablets  _1151

Famotidine is an over-the-counter histamine H2-receptor antagonist which is often used to decrease the amount of acid in the stomach. It works through blocking histamine-2 receptors in the stomach lining.

Famotidine can be retained and analyzed using the Primesep 100 stationary phase column. The analysis utilizes an isocratic method with a simple mobile phase consisting of water and acetonitrile (MeCN) with a Sulfuric Acid buffer. Detection is performed using UV.
