Cyclosporine A, also known as cyclosporin and ciclosporin, is a calcineurin inhibitor with the molecular formula C62H111N11O12. It is used primarily as a an immunosuppressant medication to treat rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, Crohn’s disease, eczema, and much more. It is said to work through decreasing the function of lymphocytes. You can find detailed UV spectra of Cyclosporine A and information about its various lambda maxima by visiting the following link.

Cyclosporine B is a calcineurin inhibitor and analogue of cyclosporin A, with the molecular formula C61H109N11O12. It is used primarily as a an immunosuppressant medication with antifungal activities. It is said to work inhibiting P-glycoprotein activity and suppressing the growth of T-lymphoma cell lines. You can find detailed UV spectra of Cyclosporine B and information about its various lambda maxima by visiting the following link.

Cyclosporine C is a cyclic peptide and fungal metabolite, with the molecular formula C62H111N11O13. It is used primarily for its antifungal, antiviral, anti-parasitic, and immunosuppressive properties. It is said to work by inhibiting the vaccinia virus replication in infected cells. Despite that, it displays weaker activity compared to Cyclosporin A. You can find detailed UV spectra of Cyclosporine C and information about its various lambda maxima by visiting the following link

Cyclosporin A, Cyclosporin B, Cyclosporin C can be retained and analyzed using the Primesep 200 stationary phase column. The analysis utilizes an isocratic method with a mobile phase consisting of acetonitrile and water. Detection is performed using UV.

For optimal results in HPLC analysis, it is recommended to measure absorbance at a wavelength that matches the absorption maximum of the compound(s) being analyzed. The UV spectrum shown can assist in selecting an appropriate wavelength for your analysis. Please note that certain mobile phases and buffers may block wavelengths below 230 nm, rendering absorbance measurement at these wavelengths ineffective. If detection below 230 nm is required, it is recommended to use acetonitrile and water as low UV-transparent mobile phases, with phosphoric acid and its salts, sulfuric acid, and TFA as buffers.
For some compounds, the UV-Vis Spectrum is affected by the pH of the mobile phase. The compound was dissolved in acetonitrile.
