HPLC Method for Analysis of Diazinon on Newcrom BH Column

HPLC Method for Diazinon on Newcrom BH by SIELC Technologies

High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) Method for Analysis of Diazinon

Diazinon is an insecticide with the chemical formula C12H21N2O3PS. Due to it’s high toxicity to vertebrates which leads to headaches, vomiting, apnea, and more, it has been banned in the United States since 2004. You can find detailed UV spectra of Diazinon and information about its various lambda maxima by visiting the following link.

Diazinon can be retained and analyzed using the Newcrom BH stationary phase column. The analysis utilizes an isocratic method with a simple mobile phase consisting of water and acetonitrile (MeCN) with a sulfuric acid buffer. Detection is performed using UV.
