HPLC Method for Analysis of Metronidazole on Newcrom R1 Column

HPLC Method for Metronidazole on Newcrom R1 by SIELC Technologies

High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) Method for Analysis of Metronidazole

Metronidazole is an antibiotic with C6H9N3O3 molecular formula. It works strongly against anaerobic bacteria and protozoa. It is available as oral tablets, capsules, topical gels, and injections. To truly kill bacteria and prevent infection, a full course of the medication must be completed as prescribed by a doctor.

Metronidazole can be retained and analyzed using the Newcrom R1 stationary phase column. The analysis utilizes an isocratic method with a simple mobile phase consisting of water and acetonitrile (MeCN) with phosphoric acid as a buffer. Detection is performed using UV.
