High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) Method for Analysis of Centralite 

Centralite is an organic compound with the chemical formula C17H20N2O. It is used primarily to stabilize smokeless powder. In forensics, it is detected by GunShot Residue analysis. It is used as fuel burns when a gun is fired. It can be found on a suspect or crime scene using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry.

Centralite can be retained and analyzed using the Newcrom R1 stationary phase column. The analysis utilizes an isocratic method with a simple mobile phase consisting of water and acetonitrile (MeCN) with phosphoric acid as a buffer. Detection is performed using UV.
