HPLC Method for Biotin on Newcrom BH by SIELC Technologies
High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) Method for Analysis of Biotin.
Biotin (Vitamin B7) is a water-soluble vitamin that helps the body breakdown key nutrients in order for it to absorb and utilize them. A lack of biotin can lead to hair loss, rash, and brittle nails. A healthy diet including eggs, milk, and bananas can supply the body with a healthy dose of biotin.
Using a Newcrom BH mixed-mode column and a mobile phase consisting of water and acetonitrile with an ammonium formate (AmFm) buffer, Vitamin B7 can be retained and measured. Vitamin B7 can be detected using charged aerosol detection (CAD) with high resolution.
