HPLC Chiral Separation of Viloxazine Enantiomers on Cyralis CL Column

HPLC Chiral Method for Analysis of Viloxazine Enantiomers on Cyralis CL Column by SIELC Technologies

High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) Method for Analysis of Viloxazine.

Viloxazine is a selective norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor with the chemical formula C13H19NO3. It is used in treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Originally, it was used to treat depression, but was discontinued. You can find detailed UV spectra of Viloxazine and information about its various lambda maxima by visiting the following link.

This application describes a normal-phase chiral HPLC method for the separation of Viloxazine enantiomers using SIELC’s Cyralis CL chiral column. Cyralis CL is a cellulose-based chiral stationary phase (CSP) designed for enantiomeric separations, optical purity testing, chiral impurity analysis, and stereoisomer characterization in pharmaceutical, chemical, agrochemical, and fine chemical applications.

Viloxazine can be retained and analyzed using the Cyralis CL stationary phase column. The analysis utilizes an isocratic method with a mobile phase consisting of sodium perchlorate and acetonitrile. Detection is performed using UV.
