SIELC Presents: Cyralis™ Screening Kit for Ultrafast Chiral Screening
SIELC Technologies introduces the Cyralis™ Screening Kit, featuring four polysaccharide-based stationary phases with 1.5 µm nonporous particles. Designed for rapid initial chiral screening, the kit helps researchers identify promising stationary phases for further method development.
The kit includes Cyralis™ AM, CM, AL, and CL columns, each measuring 4.6 × 50 mm. Screen an analyte across the four phases under the same selected mobile-phase condition, compare the chromatograms, and identify phases showing promising chiral selectivity.
Why Nonporous Particles?
Analytes interact with the external particle surface without diffusing into and out of internal pores. This reduces the contribution of intraparticle mass transfer to band broadening, supporting rapid screening. The smaller available surface area also reduces sample capacity, making these columns intended for initial screening.
One Analyte. Four Phases. Identify the Hits.
The kit combines cellulose- and amylose-based selectors with two different phenylcarbamate chemistries, providing complementary options for exploring chiral selectivity:
- Cyralis™ CM — Cellulose tris(3,5-dimethylphenylcarbamate).
- Cyralis™ AM — Amylose tris(3,5-dimethylphenylcarbamate).
- Cyralis™ CL — Cellulose tris(3-chloro-4-methylphenylcarbamate).
- Cyralis™ AL — Amylose tris(3-chloro-4-methylphenylcarbamate).
These phases are suitable for screening chiral neutral compounds, acids, bases, and chiral salts. Use the initial screening hits to focus subsequent method development on promising selectors.
