Alltesta™ Mini Autosampler Featured in Scientific Research
A recent scientific publication by researchers from Merck & Co., Inc. and the University of Cambridge introduces a new approach to high-throughput reaction analysis using a robotically automated vacuum-enabled direct-inject mass spectrometry (RAVE MS) platform.
A key component of this system is the Alltesta™ Mini Autosampler, developed by SIELC Technologies — a compact and versatile device that enables accurate, reproducible, and fast sample injection with minimal hardware investment.
The study demonstrated that the Alltesta™ Mini Autosampler allowed direct sample injection into a mass spectrometer at a rate of up to 12 seconds per sample, ensuring reliable electrospray ionization directly from standard 48-, 96-, and 384-well plates. The system is operated by open-source software, which provides full autosampler control as well as real-time data processing from the mass spectrometer.
The researchers showed a high degree of correlation among results obtained by RAVE MS, Echo MS, and LC-MS methods, confirming that even complex reaction mixtures can be analyzed directly after simple dilution.
Why It Matters
The use of the Alltesta™ Mini Autosampler in this study highlights its reliability and flexibility as a tool that can be easily integrated into modern automated laboratory platforms. With its open architecture, compatibility with standard plate formats, and modular design, the Alltesta™ Mini Autosampler is ideal for:
- Automated sampling in chemical and biocatalytic screening;
- Accelerated reaction monitoring;
- Integration with LC-MS, GC-MS, and other analytical systems.
The Alltesta™ Mini Autosampler continues to gain recognition in leading research labs worldwide, confirming its effectiveness as a compact, affordable, and intelligent solution for automated sampling in analytical chemistry.
