HPLC Method for Analysis of Phenazopyridine on Primesep 100 Column by SIELC Technologies
High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) Method for Analysis of Phenazopyridine.
Phenazopyridine is an drug with the chemical formula C11H11N5. It is has a local analgesic effect on the urinary tract, therefore it is often used to help with pain, irritation, and urgency caused by urinary tract infections, injury, or surgery. It is not yet known exactly how the drug works.
Phenazopyridine can be retained and analyzed using the Primesep 100 stationary phase column. The analysis utilizes an isocratic method with a simple mobile phase consisting of water and acetonitrile (MeCN). Detection is performed using UV.
