HPLC Determination of Sulfosuccinic Acid on Newcrom BH Column

HPLC Method for Sulfosuccinic acid on Newcrom BH by SIELC Technologies

High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) Method for Analysis of Sulfosuccinic Acid.

Sulfosuccinic acid is a surfactant with the chemical formula C4H6O7S. It is used as a dispersing agent in pesticides, herbicides, and pigments. In fertilizers, it is used as a complexing agent. It is also used to enhance solubility and bioavailability of drugs in oral dosages.

Sulfosuccinic acid can be retained on the Newcrom BH mixed-mode column using an isocratic analytical method with a simple mobile phase of water, acetonitrile (MeCN, ACN), and sulphuric acid (H2SO4) buffer. The analysis method can be UV detected at 200 nm.

Condition

Column Newcrom BH, 3.2 x 100 mm, 5 µm, 100 A, dual ended
Mobile Phase MeCN/H2O -10/90%
Buffer  H2SO4 – 0.3%
Flow Rate 0.5 ml/min
Detection UV, 200 nm
