HPLC Method for Sofosbuvir on Primesep B by SIELC Technologies

High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) Method for Analysis of Sofosbuvir
Sofosbuvir is an oral antiviral medication used to treat hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection. It is a nucleotide analog inhibitor that targets the HCV NS5B RNA polymerase, preventing viral replication. Often combined with other antiviral drugs, sofosbuvir has revolutionized HCV treatment by offering a shorter duration of therapy, higher cure rates, and minimal resistance, with fewer side effects compared to older treatments.
Sofosbuvir can be retained and analyzed using the Primesep B stationary phase column. The analysis utilizes an isocratic method with a simple mobile phase consisting of water, acetonitrile (MeCN), and sulfuric acid. Detection is performed using UV at 260 nm.
