HPLC Method For Analysis Of Maleic Anhydride on Primesep S2 Column

HPLC Method for Maleic anhydride on Primesep S2 by SIELC Technologies

High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) Method for Analysis of Maleic anhydride.

Maleic Anhydride is an organic compound with the chemical formula C2H2(CO)2O. It is used for unsaturated polyester resin production, thermoplastic formation, and as a key ingredient in curing reagents used on epoxy resins. It can also be found in hair sprays, water treatments. Its derivative, malic acid, can be used as an artificial sweetener and flavor enhancer and precursor to fumaric acid.

Maleic anhydride can be retained and analyzed using the Primesep S2 stationary phase column. The analysis utilizes an isocratic method with a simple mobile phase consisting of water and acetonitrile (MeCN). Detection is performed using UV.
