Separation type: Liquid Chromatography HILIC
High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) Method for Analysis of Maleic Anhydride
Maleic Anhydride is an important compound used for resin production, thermoplastic formation, and as a key ingredient in curing reagents used on epoxy resins. It can also be found in cosmetics, water treatments, and its derivative, malic acid, can be used as an artificial sweetener and flavor enhancer. Maleic Anhydride can be retained and analyzed on a mixed-mode Primesep S2 column with a mobile phase consisting of just Acetonitrile (MeCN) without water or a buffer. This analytical method can be UV detected at 210 nm with high resolution and peak symmetry.
