HPLC Determination of Streptomycin on Primesep 200 Column

HPLC Determination of Streptomycin sulfate salt on Primesep 200 Column
Streptomycin is an antibiotic used in treating bacterial infections and has also been used as a pesticide. It is on the World Health Organization’s (WHO) list of essential medicines. It works by inhibiting the synthesis of proteins. It can be retained on a Primesep 200 mixed-mode column by hydrophobic and ion-exchange properties. The analytical method uses MS-compatible mobile phase of acetonitrile (ACN) and water with sulfuric acid (H2SO4) buffer. Also capable of UV detection at 200nm.

Condition

Column Primesep 200, 4.6×150 mm, 5 µm, 100A
Mobile Phase MeCN/H2O – 10/90%
Buffer H2SO4 – 0.05%
Flow Rate 1.0 ml/min
Detection UV, 200 nm
