HPLC Method for Analysis of Montelukast
May 3, 2016
Montelukast is a leukotriene receptor antagonist (LTRA) used to relieve symptoms of allergies (crying, sneezing, itching, etc.) and treatment of asthma (specifically to prevent the wheezing and shortness of breath). Primesep 200, a reverse phase column, contains embedded acidic ionizable groups and can retain Montelukast. The method is UV compatible and can be used as a general approach for analyzing similar compounds.
